3 Different Halloween Pet Costumes to Try Out This Year
With Halloween around the corner you might be wondering what costume to put together for your pet. Apart from the candy, what kids love the most about Halloween is getting dressed up in a ghoulish looking costume, so why not get your pets dressed up too. Dressing up your pet in a cute costume might even be the main attraction of the night. Stuck for ideas? Don’t worry, here are 3 different DIY suggestions:
- Teddy bear: if you have a teddy bear that’s roughly the same size as your pet then you can cut the back of the bear and remove the stuffing. Cut out the teddy bear’s face so that your pet may see and then remove the feet so that your pet can walk. To avoid your pet slipping out of the costume, glue a strip of hook and loop tape to the belly to keep them secure.
- Shark: glue together two identical shark fins that you can cut from gray foam. Then cut a small fish from yellow foam and an ocean wave from blue foam. Attach the fish to the ocean and the ocean to the fins, then you can use Velcro to attach the entire thing to your pet like a belt.
- Lion: brown felt and hook and loop strips will be required here. Loop the felt around the strips then secure with glue. The hook and loop tape is able to act as a collar for your pet’s Halloween costume.
