Keep Organized this spring with Velcro
Part of spring cleaning should be to organize your stuff, and Velcro can come in very handy when doing this. It has a number of applications, and even more so when you get a little creative. Here are a few different ways that you can utilize the power of Velcro to organize your home:
- Cables: if you have a large number of electronics in the home that has yet to receive cable management, then Velcro can help. Simply bundle the cables together and tie them up. Furthermore, you can use different Velcro colors to differentiate between the different types of cables that you are going to tie up.
- Art supplies: if you have a bunch of art supplies and related items that are constantly messy, then Velcro can help you get organized. Simply stick a strip of tape to the wall, and on each item place a dot of Velcro. Between sessions you can stick your art supplies on the wall.
- Plant support: while doing your spring cleaning in the garden you can make use of Velcro to provide support for plants. Stick a thin piece of wood in the center of the plant pot, and tie the plant to the wooden stick. Do this at several locations along the stem if extra plant support is required. By doing this you’ll increase the health of the plants and avoid a messy look for the plant pots.
- Spice rack: do you have trouble organizing your spices in the kitchen? Consider sticking the spices to your kitchen walls similar to the way it was suggested with art supplies. By doing this you’ll save some cupboard room that can be used for other things.
